Peeg Privacy Policy

At Peeg we value your privacy. This Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our pixel-style virtual pet game.

1. Data controller and contact

The data controller for the data described in this Policy is Isma G., developer of the Peeg application, available for Android (Google Play) and iOS (App Store).

You can contact us about any matter related to this Policy at: [email protected], indicating “Peeg” in the subject.

2. Information we collect

Registration data: name, email address, and password to create your account.
Google Sign-In data (if you choose this option): name, email address, and profile picture. See section 3.
Approximate IP location: only to adjust the experience (e.g., show weather in the game). We do not store your exact location.
Usage data: information about how you interact with the application to improve gameplay and detect errors.
Push notification token: a technical device identifier used only to send you game notifications, if you allow them.

3. Google Sign-In

Peeg allows you to create an account or sign in with your Google account.

Data we receive from Google. When you use this option, Google provides us only with your name, your email address, and your profile picture. We do not receive or store your Google password or any other data from your Google account.

How we use it. Solely to create or link your Peeg account and to authenticate you when you sign in. We do not use it for any other purpose.

Sale and advertising. We do not sell or transfer your Google data to third parties, and we do not use it for advertising, including AdMob personalized ads.

Who it is shared with. It is not shared with third parties, except with the providers necessary to deliver the service: the hosting provider that runs the Peeg server, the push notification service, and the official stores (Google Play and App Store) to manage in-app purchases.

Peeg's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google user data is not used to develop, improve, or train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

How to revoke access. You can revoke the permission you granted to Peeg at any time from your Google account at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. If you revoke access, you can still use Peeg with your email and password, or you can request deletion of your account (see section 6).

4. Advertising

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the game. AdMob may collect certain device data (for example, the advertising identifier) to offer personalized or non-personalized ads, depending on your consent and your device settings. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for more information.

The data we obtain from your Google account (name, email address, and profile picture) is not used to target, personalize, or measure ads on AdMob, and is not shared with AdMob or with advertising networks. AdMob personalized advertising is based solely on the data AdMob itself collects on the device, in accordance with your consents.

5. In-app purchases

Peeg offers optional in-game purchases, such as:

Customizable objects for the pet.
Advantages and gameplay improvements.
Option to remove ads.

Transactions are handled through your device's official store (Google Play or App Store). We do not store payment data on our servers.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your Peeg account remains active and it is necessary to provide the service.

How to delete your account:

In the app: go to your profile and tap “Delete account”. The app sends the request to our server and the account is deleted.
By email: write to [email protected] indicating “Peeg” in the subject and your account email. We will handle the request within a maximum of 30 days.

Deleting the account erases the data associated with it: profile (name, email address, picture), pet, inventory, and game progress. Purchase records handled by Google Play or App Store are governed by those stores' policies.

Deletion becomes effective within a maximum of 30 days from the request, including any backups we may keep for recovery purposes.

7. Data security

We apply the following measures to protect your information:

All communications between the app and our servers use HTTPS/TLS; HTTP requests are redirected to HTTPS and HSTS is enforced.
Passwords are stored hashed with bcrypt (with salt); never in plain text.
API access requires a signed JWT token, and protected endpoints validate that token on every request.
The database runs on a private internal network, with no port exposed to the Internet.
The API's technical documentation is protected with authentication and is not publicly accessible.
A firewall/WAF protects the server against unauthorized traffic and access.

No system is completely secure, but we review and update these measures periodically.

8. User rights

You may request at any time:

Access to your data.
Correction or deletion of your account.
Opposition to the use of your data for advertising purposes.
